Search Party started from a place of deep love, hope, and a family miracle.
A little while ago, our family finally reunited with my niece after eight long, heartbreaking years. She had been trapped in an isolating domestic violence relationship and was starting over from scratch. To help her get back on her feet, I designed a giant, poster-sized word search to sell to friends and neighbors for Thanksgiving and Christmas to raise funds.
The response completely blew me away.
Not only did we raise money, but something magical happened in the living rooms of everyone who bought one. Instead of staring down at phones, families were crowded around the poster—laughing, connecting, and talking.
Search Party has a beautiful double meaning. Domestic violence thrives on isolation and loneliness. So while we gather around a wall or table to search for hidden words, we are also searching for the people who are quietly suffering.
Our goal is simple: to help you strengthen relationships with the people you are searching with, so that together, we can make a beautiful difference in the world.
